četrtek, 8. januar 2026 Univerzitetni programerski maraton 2026 // University Programming Marathon 2026

V omejenem času – 4 do 5 ur – morajo ekipe rešiti čim več nalog.

University Programming Marathon 2026

This February, the starting pistol fires for the new season of the University Programming Marathon – UPM 2026 , Slovenia's national student programming competition organised by ACM Slovenia. The contest is open to all who fancy a proper intellectual workout. The emphasis is firmly on algorithms rather than on the quirks of particular programming languages.

UPM 2026 consists of a warm-up (practice) round on Thursday, 12 February 2026, followed by three competitive rounds on 19 February, 8 April, and 21 May 2026. The grand final will be hosted this year by the University of Maribor. There we shall crown the national champion, as well as the champions of the individual universities. The best university teams will then go on to represent Slovenia at the Central European level of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC CERC).

Teams are made up of three contestants , all huddled around a single computer, solving problems together. This year the officially supported languages are C, C++, Python 3, and Java; C#, Pascal, Rust, Kotlin, and Go are also available should you feel so inclined. Problems from previous years can be found here.

Within a strictly limited time window of four to five hours, teams must solve as many problems as possible. Only fully solved problems count, and speed matters only after correctness is assured. Team captains may already register their three-person teams. The registration deadline is one week before the first round.
