Monday, 16 August 2021 UP FAMNIT students will be organizing an international conference SymBioSE 2023
Students were successful in their proposal to organize an international conference SymBioSE 2023.
In 1996, the German Student Association members founded the International SymBioSE or Symposium of Biology Students of Europe. The event's main purpose is to connect all European students of biology and other natural sciences, from undergraduate to doctoral level. SymBioSE takes place in the form of an annual event in the various participating countries. To host the event, campaign proposers must apply two years in advance and convince all participants of the current conference of their idea.
In recent years, the conference has been attended by several students of Conservation biology, but because it has not yet been organized in Slovenia, this year's team of participating students from UP Famnit came to the idea to try and bring the conference to Koper. Thus, they presented their candidacy to this year's SymBioSE participants and were successful!
The event will be organized in cooperation with the Society of Conservation Biologists – Biodiva. SymBioSE 2023 will be held 24 - 30 July 2023.
