Friday, 26 November 2021 Thousandth graduate at UP FAMNIT!
In addition to all the successes that we have proudly reported on in recent years, we have reached another beautiful milestone - Famnit already has a thousandth graduate!
Hana Čuček defended her final work titled »Family relationships, social support and relationship satisfaction after the birth of a child«.
197 individuals participated in the research presented by the student in her final work, and the findings showed that both social support and the quality of co-parenting and the relationship between parents and children are positively associated with satisfaction in a partnership. Hana Čuček pointed out that knowledge and understanding of the research field and variables related to satisfaction in a relationship after the birth of a child is very important for maintaining the mutual connection between the partners.
The Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies was established in 2006 and offers study programmes of all three levels and conducts research in the fields of mathematics, computer science and informatics, and in the field of natural sciences. The Faculty closely cooperates with the Andrej Marušič Institute of the University of Primorska (UP IAM), where most of the higher education teachers and associates of UP FAMNIT currently perform research activities.
In the period since its establishment, we have organized high-profile international conferences and other scientific meetings, and we have always been actively involved in the international higher education and research area; we have established a wide network of research links with reputable foreign universities. It should be noted that the UP FAMNIT Research Group is one of the four leading research groups in the field of algebraic graph theory on a global scale - the other three groups are in China, Australia and South Korea. With this, UP FAMNIT placed the University of Primorska on the world map of established research institutions.
Every year at UP FAMNIT we hold workshops, lectures and other activities for the general public, and in the summer months we organize summer schools and camps, which are intended primarily for high school and primary school students.
We are proud to welcome the 15th generation of students this year and co-create these success stories with them!
