Saturday, 29 September 2018 Orientation days 2018 in progress

First students are already moving to the Slovenian coastline. To our foreign students, who will start their studies on 1 October, we offered Orientation days 2018. 165 students (of which more than a third are coming from UP FAMNIT) joined the programme.

During the orientation days, new students learn about the environment, the university, its faculties and other relevant organisations, especially Student Organisation of the University of Primorska. The programme was packed with different presentations, visits, tours, workshops and events. In cooperation with the Administrative Unit Koper we took care of the documentation for the temporary residence permits, while students also met their programme study coordinators, researchers and other university staff. On Saturday they started to learn Slovene in an introductory course to the language courses starting in October. Part of the programme was also intended for the students to get to know each other and tutors better. Thus, on Thursday they were presenting the culinary tradition of their home countries, while 8 authors of best photos from the first day got a special chance to dive to the Underwater archaeology park in Strunjan!

Orientation days are finishing on Monday, when they will be combined with the event Welcome, freshmen.
