All freshmen from abroad are warmly invited to participate to this year ORIENTATION DAYS where they will get to know the environment and the university.

Thursday, 27 October 2018

  • 9.30 am – 10.15 am: Welcome! Meet the people (Faculty of Humanities, Koper)
  • 10.15 am – 11.15 am: About the University of Primorska, Coastline and Slovenia (Faculty of Humanities, Koper)
  • 11.15 am – 1 pm: Preparing documents for residence permits / distribution and registration of SIM cards (Faculty of Humanities, Koper)
  • 1 pm – 3 pm: Lunch break – own organization
  • 3 pm – 4.45 pm: Walking tour of Koper (Start at Tito square, Koper)
  • 4.45 pm: Buses depart to Portorož
  • 5.30 – 7.30 pm: Who are my fellow students - Country fair & Typical local dish (Faculty of Tourism Studies, Portorož)
  • 7.30 pm – 9 pm: Peer in(to) Portorož (Portorož)
  • 9 pm: Buses depart to Koper

  • 9 am – 12 noon*: Visiting Administrative Unit, Visiting SOUP – arranging subsidised food, sport (Meeting at Tito square, Koper)
  • 12 noon – 1 pm: Lunch break – own organization
  • 1 pm – 2.30 pm*: Meeting with faculty members and departments (Meeting at Tito square)
  • 2.30 pm – 7 pm: SAWE – Safe with science – Researchers’ night (Meeting at Tito square)

* Students of UP FTŠ – Turistica have a separate programme in Portorož

Saturday, 29 September 2018

  • 10 am – 10.15 am: Presentation about language courses (Faculty of Humanities, Koper)
  • 10.15 am – 1 pm: Crash Slovenian language course (Faculty of Humanities, Koper)
  • 1 pm – 2 pm: Lunch break – own organization
  • 2 pm: Sport and socialising activities
