Friday, 17 October 2025 LISTENING TO WILDLIFE: BIODIVERSITY ASSESMENT WITH PASSIVE ACOUSTIC MONITORING
The University of Primorska will host a guest lecture by Dr. Carolline Zatta Fieker on Monday, October 21, at 11 a.m. in the Epsilon lecture room (Livade 1.0, Izola). Dr. Fieker, a researcher from the National Institute of Pantanal Research (INPP), Brazil, will present passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) as an innovative tool for biodiversity assessment. Drawing from her studies in the Brazilian Pantanal, she will showcase practical applications of this method and highlight recent advancements in acoustic technology and analysis. The lecture is open to students and staff of UP.
