Monday, 7 October 2024 First consortium meeting of the MARiNKA project took place at UP FAMNIT

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, the first consortium meeting of the MARiNKA project took place at UP FAMNIT. 

       

During the meeting, Dr. Sonja Čotar Konrad from UP PEF (project leader) and Prof. Andrej Brodnik from the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies UP FAMNIT presented the planned activities and content to representatives of the other consortium partners: the UL Faculty of Computer and Information Science, Trzin Primary School, Prežihov Voranc Primary School in Ljubljana, Prof. Dr. Josip Plemelj Primary School in Bled, 8 Talcev Primary School in Logatec, Stane Žagar Primary School in Kranj, Maks Pečar Primary School, Vojka Šmuc Primary School in Izola, Fran Erjavec Primary School in Nova Gorica, Janez Puhar Primary School in Kranj, and Elvira Vatovec Primary School in Prade. 

The project aims to develop essential knowledge of computer science and informatics (RIN) among students from the 6th to the 9th grade in primary school. As part of the project, the inclusion of fundamental RIN content will be planned, executed, and evaluated through interdisciplinary collaboration and the solving of authentic problems. Moreover, innovative teaching methods and a whole-school approach will be developed to introduce fundamental RIN content. 

The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union – NextGenerationEU. The applicant and lead partner of the project is UP FAMNIT.
