Tuesday, 16 February 2021 A successful turnout at Virtual Info Days 2021

This past Friday and Saturday, 12 and 13 February, Info Days for high school students took place at Famnit - this year they were held online for the first time.

As is tradition, we welcomed the students in two sessions, at 10 am and at 3 pm on Friday, when 178 visitors joined the presentations. On Saturday at 10 am we had slightly fewer visitors, 79 in total. Saturday afternoon was reserved for the presentation of three undergraduate study programs that are also available in English (Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science), 19 visitors from abroad joined the presentations.

In the introductory part of the presentations, we were broadcasting from the Famnit loby, where we demonstrated faculty classrooms and other faculty building with the help of of a Virtual Walk . The Dean, Assoc. prof. Ademir Hujdurović, PhD, greeted the participants from the Large classroom 1 on the 1^st floor.  Later, visitors were able to join the presentations of undergraduate study programmes, prepared and presented by the coordinators of study programs, namely:

• Mathematics / Mathematics in Economics and Finance
• Computer Science
• Bioinformatics
• Conservation Biology
• Biopsychology
• Mediterranean Agriculture

Famnit's students were also available for chat between 1 pm and 3 pm, where they shared their experience of being a student, about extracurricular activities and student life in Slovenian Istria.
