The program represents a comprehensive approach to suicide prevention as one of the biggest social and public health problems in Slovenia, offering innovative ways to the study suicidal behavior. The main objectives of the program are: to reduce suicide rate in Slovenia, to contribute to the multidisciplinary and multi-level suicide prevention, and to bring a wide range of research methods into suicidology in order to better understand and explain suicidal behaviour. The program is implemented in collaboration with researchers from the Slovenian Centre for Suicide Research, which operates under the UP IAM.
