Enrollment - Famnit students

ADVANCEMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT IN THE NEXT STUDY YEAR

Advancement requirements and requirements for repeating the year for each study programme are availabe at the description of each study programme (in the section Continuation of studies according to the transfer criteria).

Students who meet the advancement requirements will have an opened the enrollment paper (see Enrollment instructions).

YEAR PLUStop

What is Year Plus? Year Plus enables foreign students to improve their academic performance by re-enrolling in the first year due to the reason of insufficient knowledge of the Slovenian language in which the study process takes place.

Target group of Year Plus: Foreign students who are enrolled for the first time in one of the study programmes of UP FAMNIT conducted in Slovenian language. They must be enrolled in the study programme before enrolling in Year Plus.

Students that have submited the application for Year plus with the enrollment paper in the 1st year, and if the student has obtained at the end of the current academic year a total of at least 30 credits (ECTS), of which at least 6 credits (ECTS) from knowledge Slovene language and 24 ECTS from the obligations of the 1st year, enables the extension of the status in the 1st year on the basis of the application for Year plus.

In order to use Year plus, the student has to submit a request in ŠIS under the section Enrollment requests and choose Extenstion of student status in the 1st year (Year plus - foreign students). A student will be informed via e-mail about the opened enrollment paper if the criteria for use of Year plus are met and has to follow the enrollment instructions.

PRE-GRADUATION YEAR (ABSOLVENT)top

Students, enroled in the 3rd year of the study programme may enrol in the pre-graduation year if they did not repeat the year or change study programme during their studies.

Enrolment in the pre-graduation year it is possible only in the first academic year after 3rd year of the undergraduate study programme or only in the frst academic year after 2nd year of the master's study programme.

Students, who have the right to enrol for the pre-graduation year (absolvent) DO NOT SUBMIT any request. The enrollment paper is opened automatically, students are informed about opened enrollment paper via e-mail. A receipt for enrollment fee is sent to student's e-mail  (also available in SIS in the section My Data / My Financial Position).

IMPORTANT:
Students who DO NOT want to enrol for pre-graduation year do not have to fulfill the enrolment paper and do not have to pay enrolment fee. They will be enrolled as a pavzer from the 1st October on by the Student Services.

PAVZERtop

A pavzer is a student who:

- does not fulfill the advancement requirements for enrollment in the higher study year and has already repeated the year;
- does not want to enroll in the next academic year;
- has already used all possible enrollments.

Student who is a pavzer:

- does not have a student status,
- participating in a study obligations in a first year of being a pavzer is free of charge, while second year or more a student has to pay regarding the faculty's price list,
- does not fulfill the enrollment paper and does not pay the enrollment fee (or tuition fee).

A student, who want to be a pavzer in the next academic year, will be enrolled as a pavzer from 1st October on by the Student Servcies.

TUITION AND ENROLLMENT FEEStop

All students with a student status have to pay the enrollment fee, based on the faculty' price list.

A receipt for enrollment fee is sent to student's e-mail  (also available in SIS in the section My Data / My Financial Position).

IMPORTANT:
In accordance with the General terms and conditions of payment of tuition fee and fees at UP FAMNIT, a student cannot enroll in the next academic year until all his/hers faculty' financial obligations have been settled.

ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONStop

When an enrollment paper is opened, a student is informed via e-mail. Also a receipt for enrollment fee is sent to student's e-mail  (also available in SIS in the section My Data / My Financial Position).

In case a student does not fulfil the enrollment paper and submit all the attachments until the deadline (see Schedule of enrollment - figure), a student will be "enrolled" as a pavzer from the 1st October on by the Student Services (see Pavzer).

When the enrollment is completed by the Student Services, a student will be informed via e-mail. A student can print out the certificate of enrollment in SIS (section My data / Certificate of enrollment).

Enrollment procedure

  • An enrollment paper is available in student's SIS, section ENROLLMENT / Enrollment Paper.
  • A student has to check all the data (in case of any corrections, a student must enter them in the section NOTES FOR STUDENT SERVICES category – available after electronic signature of the enrollment paper).
  • In case there are elective courses needed in each study programme, a student has to choose between available ones (see Courses).
  • A student submits the enrollment paper by clicking the button Submit.
  • After submission a student signs the enrollment paper electronically by clicking on the Electronic Signature button.
  • A student enters an electronic signature using the mouse and confirms the signature by clicking the Enter Signature button.
  • If a tuition fee is foreseen, the student is then obliged to sign the contract in the same way, which can be accessed after the successfully signed enrolment form.

Enrollment's paper obligatory attachment in section ENROLLMENT / Annexes of Enrollment is:

  • ertificate of payment of the enrollment fee                                                                                                           
  • an electronically signed contract (if tuition fees are foreseen),                                                                       
  • proof of payment or receipt certifying the payment of the enrolment fee,                                                       
  • proof of payment or receipt certifying the payment of the the 1st instalment of tuition fees (if tuition fees are foreseen),                                                                                                                                                           
  • one photo (3,5 x 4,5 cm in colour, the photo should be in standard form as for the personal identity card).​
